
Frank Painter has over twenty-five years of clinical engineering and biomedical equipment service management experience. He has directed in-house programs at two large metropolitan teaching hospitals and managed two successful regional independent medical equipment service organizations. He is faculty member and Clinical Engineering Internship Program Director in the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program at the University of Connecticut.
Mr. Painter is internationally recognized in the field of clinical engineering having presented and taught both nationally and internationally. He has presented in Sao Paulo, Beijing, Guatemala City, Dubai, Lima, Moscow, Mexico City and Cape Town and has been a consultant to the Pan American Health Organization and the World Health Organization. He is actively involved in the profession, having been President of the American College of Clinical Engineering and Chairman of the US Board of Examiners for Clinical Engineering Certification. He is the Chair of the Healthcare Technology Certification Commission.
Mr. Painter has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University and a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a specialty in Biomedical Engineering from SUNY at Buffalo. He is Certified in Clinical Engineering by the International Certification Commission for Clinical Engineering and Biomedical Equipment Technology and by the Healthcare Technology Certification Commission.
